Felicity Jones was born in Britain and is most well-known as the actress who was Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones began acting at her 12th birthday and has worked in multiple plays TV shows and films. She began by appearing in The Treasure Seekers, a film on television. Following that, she appeared in The Worst Witch as Ethel Hallow and in Weirdsisters College. In her debut film Flashbacks of a Fool she played Young Ruth and went on to appear in a variety of films. The actress gained acclaim for her acting in movies including The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. However, it was her performance as the wife of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything that brought her an Oscar for the first time. Jones was praised by the public and critics because she played the character of Hawking's wife for the Stephen Hawking biopic. Inferno is an action film starring Tom Hanks. In the year 2016 the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles selected Jones to be the British Artist of The Year because of her talents and contribution to cinema.
